Youth music conference Feedback has introduced its first line-up of audio system and presenters for its 2022 iteration.
Heading up the checklist is rapper Barkaa, who will give the keynote speech at the MusicNSW-presented occasion. The Malyangapa and Barkindji artist launched her debut EP, ‘Blak Matriarchy’, in December 2021.
Elsewhere on the line-up are triple j presenters Lucy Smith and Dave Ruby Howe – the previous is the station’s Mornings host, and the latter works as music director of its Unearthed initiative.
Others set to current at the conference are publicist Melody Forghani, FBi Radio advertising and marketing supervisor Mia Hull and Onefour‘s supervisor Ricky Simandjuntak. Extra audio system are set to be introduced nearer to the date. The conference shall be hosted by Sydney-based rapper Dobby, with whom Barkaa collaborated on the 2020 single ‘I Can’t Breathe’.
Feedback, which is working for the primary time since 2020, is meant for aspiring music business hopefuls between the ages of 12 and 25. A blurb from the conference’s web site says that younger folks wanting to know extra about “how to get gigs, launch music, construct a fan base, get airplay, how to work with a publicist, reserving agent or supervisor, or turn out to be one your self” are inspired to attend.
The conference is ready to happen on April 30 at the JMC Academy campus in Ultimo, Sydney. Operating from 10:45am to 4pm, tickets to the conference can be found for each these attending in-person and people accessing the livestream just about.
All proceeds from ticket gross sales throughout each platforms will go in the direction of supporting musicians impacted by the latest floods in northern New South Wales. Tickets for in-person attendance and digital attendance can be found here and here, respectively.
